If you’re looking for a hike that’s fairly easy with amazing views, it doesn’t get much better than the hike to the El Faro Lighthouse. Located less than twenty-five minutes from our Mazatlan resort on the peak of Cerro del Creston, the lighthouse hike is the perfect activity for a fun day trip. One of the highest operating lighthouses in the world, the path to the top is steep but fairly straightforward and well-maintained – there are even lights for evening climbs – and there are drinks and bathrooms at the peak. You'll want to make sure to bring your camera, as well as water and sunscreen, as you always should when going for a hike. Your reward for the climb is an incredible view of the whole city, as well as the surrounding ocean. Visitors can also take a tour of the lighthouse at the top. So if you’re up for a day out and the best view of the Pearl of the Pacific to be found, go check out the El Faro Lighthouse.
