New Children's Cultural Show in Mazatln

Theater, classical music, jazz concerts, art exhibitions, contemporary dance and children's entertainment make visiting the annual Mazatlán Cultural Festival a must-do. Venues include the famed Ángela Peralta Theater, public squares, churches and museums. One of the fun family friendly events that encourages kids to participate in the city's diverse culture is the Puppet Festival of Pedro Carreon at the Children's Pravilion on November 12th, 2010. The International Puppet Festival is returning from last year's Mazatlan Festival and will join in celebrating the wonderful and rich culture of the area. The Puppet Festival, originally started at the University of Sinaloa, will the aim at promoting the city's history using lively and entertaining characters in the puppet theater. The puppeteers will pass out puppets and will be conducting different activities allowing the audience to contribute and interact. The festival event is named after a prominent local puppeteer, Pedro Carreon, who dedicated more than 40 years of his life to the art of puppeteering. The Municipal Institute of Culture Tourism and Art of Mazatlan have prepared a series of similar functions with companies from Chile, Egypt, Colombia and of course Mexico that promise to delight children and adults. Originally founded in the city of Mazatlan, Pueblo Bonito Oceanfront Resorts have two award winning hotel in the area.
