Planning a Honeymoon in Cabo? 5 Ways to Avoid Honeymoon Stress

We all know wedding planning is stressful, but the honeymoon part is supposed to be relaxing! Still, planning and remembering to relax during your honeymoon can sometimes be a challenge. If you're looking forward to (or dreaming of) a honeymoon in Cabo, Pueblo Bonito resorts are the perfect choice. Enjoy a relaxing couples massage, lounge by the pool, then finish the day off with a romantic sunset dinner on the beach with your own private beach bed. To make sure stress doesn't stop you from enjoying these well deserved luxuries, here are a few tips taken from TheKnot.com on how to avoid honeymoon stress: 1. Plan Ahead Like all vacations, planning is an important part of avoiding stress! You don't have to write a minute by minute itinerary, but you can sketch out the trip and include all of the things you both would like to do. Agreeing to a budget before hand is also helpful if over-spending is a worry. Lastly, make sure all reservations and preparations are taken care of beforehand so the trip goes as smoothly as possible. 2. Ease In While the tradition is to leave for the honeymoon right after the wedding, try taking a breather and staying at a local hotel for your wedding night. All that wedding stress and partying might leave you tired, so a good night's rest is the perfect way to start a fun-filled honeymoon vacation. Even when you get there, take it easy! That's what a vacation is for. If you plan to do a light of sightseeing, save it for later in the trip so you can set a positive and non-stressful tone for the trip. With plenty of rest and relaxation for the first couple days, you'll have plenty of energy to max out your active days. 3. Be Healthy On the same note, you won't be able to enjoy your honeymoon if you aren't healthy, so taking it easy (without guilt! :) is a good idea throughout your trip. Not that you would need to be told to relax at a honeymoon in Cabo, but just in case! It can also get very hot in Cabo depending on the time of year you are visiting, so balance your time between bars and nightclubs, outdoor activities and enjoying breakfast in bed! 4. Respect Each Other's Interests If one of you wants to take a sightseeing tour and the other wants to surf, just divvy up your days and do it all! This is a vacation for both of you, so respecting each other's interests will greatly reduce stress. 5. Respect Each Other's Limits As The Knot put's it, "an important rule of happy travel is: don't push." You don't want to spend your time arguing or getting on each other's nerves, so if one of you wants to take a nap, and the other is full of energy, it's okay to separate for a little while. Scout out a place for dinner, read by the pool, or jog along the beach. Your reunion will be all the sweeter. Want more? Read the complete list of helpful honeymoon tips on TheKnot.com
