Pueblo Bonito's Top 10 Things to do in Mazatlan

Mazatlan is an eclectic town with a plethora of fun activities for all ages. From laying out on the sun-kissed beach to exploring the culture-rich streets of Old Mazatlan, it's the perfect place for a vacation that checks off everything on your list. It was hard to narrow it down, but we put together our list of the Top 10 Things to do in Mazatlan. # 10 Mazatlan Aquarium. Really get to know ocean life by visiting Acuano Mazatlan. Located between downtown and the Golden Zone, the aquarium features sea lion and exotic bird shows and plenty of colorful fish from around the world. # 9 Cliff divers on the Malecón. Take a stroll South down the Malecón and catch the cliff divers as they entertain onlookers with their death-defying leaps. The Malecón is a waterfront street lined with restaurants and shops that stretches from the Golden Zone all the way to Old Town and beyond. The divers are located south of the Golden Zone, just a short walk north of Olas Altas Bay in Old Town. # 8 Basílica del la Inmaculada Concepción. The Mazatlan cathedral with its ornate decoration and distinct towers is a well-known landmark. Its beautiful architecture and gilded altar make it a popular attraction for visitors. Built from 1875 to 1890, the cathedral faces the Plaza Principal in Old Mazatlan. # 7 Bahia Mariscos Restaurant. This charming and rustic restaurant is a must for those seeking a delicious dining experience in an authentic environment. Housed in a historic, early 20th century townhouse, Bahía Mariscos offers an extensive seafood menu at reasonable prices. # 6 Archaeological Museum. This small, attractive archaeological museum displays pre-Hispanic artifacts and a permanent contemporary art exhibit. Learn about the history and culture of Mazatlan and enjoy the unique art. Admission is free. From Olas Altas, walk inland on Sixto Osuna 1 1/2 blocks; the museum is on the right. # 5 Hot Stone Massage at the Spa at Emerald Bay. Relax and indulge with the ultimate spa experience at the award-winning Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort & Spa. Designed to take you into a deep state of relaxation, the Therapeutic Stone Massage is a wonderfully soothing treatment that uses heated stones to release tension. # 4 Estrella del Mar Golf Course. Cabo isn't the only place in Mexico for great ocean view golfing. The Estrella del Mar golf course in Mazatlan is a challenging Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed layout. Its well bunkered 18 holes and lush fairways line the Pacific for two miles, rewarding the golfer when he nears the flagsticks with true rolling putts on contoured greens. # 3 Deer Island (Isla de Venados) - Great for families, Deer Island is the place to visit for a variety of beach and water activities such as kayaking and snorkeling. Even the boat ride over is enjoyable! Make a day of it and book a tour that includes lunch and drinks. Visit your Mazatlan resort concierge for available tour companies. # 2 Ginger's Bilingual Horses - Spend some time along the beaches of Mazatlan with Ginger's horses. Ginger and her staff are friendly and helpful, prices are reasonable and the horses are healthy and happy.
