The Pacifica is absolutely beautiful and tranquil- from the sound of the waves crashing on the beach, to the light music playing by the pool, to the ceiling fans at Siempre, to the water features throughout the resort. The second we set foot in the resort, we were so relaxed! That is until the last night when the resort hosted a huge wedding reception which meant loud music playing until 1am and limited service and dining options since the staff were focused on the event. Pros- Beautiful, clean, well-kept grounds and rooms; greeted with a glass of champagne and a cool towel when you arrive; excellent maid service; comfy beds; serene private beach (although unswimmable); attentive and super friendly restaurant staff; only a very light timeshare pitch (they respect when you say that you are not interested and don't badger you); food at Siempre was delicious. I highly recommend taking a towel out to the beach at night and looking up at the moon and stars and listening to the waves. Cons- hosting wedding receptions to the detriment of other guests' experience; room service lost our order one morning (but they did quickly redeliver it after we called); mini bar is only beverages (water, soda, beer)- could use some snacks; bathroom has a single vanity and only a shower; the big black butterflies/moths come out at night and dive bomb you (they seemed to be happy once they landed in my wine glass- haha); confusing policy for signing bills (some places required you to sign a zeroed-out bill while others didn't bring you a bill at all). Also note: we were there in late-September/early-October and it was hot! The only time it felt cool enough to walk on the beach was after the sun went down. If you want to get away from the typical Party Cabo atmosphere, the Pacifica is the place for you. That is, if a wedding reception is not scheduled when you are there.
