Learn From the Finest Restaurants in Cabo
As you may already know, Pueblo Bonito has earned a stellar reputation for having some of the best cuisine that Mexico has to offer. With a flurry of recent accolades, we are happy to announce that AAA has awarded Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort & Spa's LaFrida Restaurant and Pueblo Bonito Rosé Resort & Spa's Fellini's Restaurant the Four Diomond Award for excellence this year! We would also like to congratulate our very own Executive Chef Antonio de Livier's, whose unique approach to cooking has been recognized with the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences' earning him a coveted Five Diamond Award.
For those guests looking to become a more active part of the resort's food and beverage experience, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach (home of the LaFrida Resaurant) offers three classes that teach guests' tips, tricks and techniques straight from the resort's on-site chefs:
- Tequila Academy - Participants can learn all about the wonders of tequila, its history and how it is produced from Sommelier Fabian Martinez. While tasting the premium tequilas, guests will enjoy a special selection of hors d'ouevres that pair perfectly with this Mexican spirit. The class is held in the Manila Bar from 4:00pm - 5:00pm, on Thursdays, for $48 per person.
- Asian Cooking Class - Guests will learn to make star-quality sushi and Asian specialties with hands-on instruction from Chef Kata in a small group setting. All participants receive a complimentary recipe book and surprise gift. The class takes place Wednesday at the LaFrida Kitchen from 10:00am - 12:00pm. Price for this class is $80 per person.
- Cabo Cuisine 101 - Guests will be able to take the food of Los Cabos home with them after participating in Chef Antonio's culinary class. Students will learn to prepare an original menu using the unique ingredients and techniques of Mexico, taught by the master chef himself. Guests will also receive a copy of Chef Antonio's new cookbook, Let's Cook! The class is held at the LaFrida Kitchen on Thursdays from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Price for this class is $100 per person.
Our Chefs focus on using the best of each region's local ingredients including fish, seafood, meats, fresh organic vegetables and spices in the adventuresome recipes. Our Executive Chef, Antonio de Livier, also consults on each menu and puts his personal touch on many dishes using the classic cooking of his native of Mexico with global Mediterranean, Asian and Italian influences.
