About Us Experience Adventure
In Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlán
Vacationing at one of our eight luxury Mexico beach Golf & Spa Resorts offers the experience of excellent service, unexpected amenities and stunning surroundings. Across our properties, we offer a wide variety of services and amenities to delight guests and ensure a relaxing and rewarding stay.
In 1987, founders Ernesto Coppel and Mark Kronemeyer opened the first Pueblo Bonito resort, Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan, which was quickly considered one of the most desirable hotels in Mazatlan because of its combination of modern luxury and old-world charm. The resort's enthusiastic acceptance prompted Coppel and Kronemeyer to team up together once again and build Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos, which opened in 1991. Since then, the company continued to grow steadily to become the award-winning chain that it is today.
Currently, we have five properties in Los Cabos: Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort, Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort, Pueblo Bonito Rosé Resort & Spa, Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos Beach Resort and Montecristo Estates Luxury Villas. We also have three properties in Mazatlán: Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay Resort & Spa, Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán Beach Resort and Emerald Estates Luxury Villas. All our luxury properties have been recognized and ranked on prestigious award lists, including Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice and Gold Lists, and Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best.
The development of each new resort has been designed to showcase its own unique personality, design and ambiance. No two getaways are exactly alike. As each new resort comes along, the existing properties undergo improvements to maintain Pueblo Bonito’s highest levels of quality. We’re constantly pushing for complete customer satisfaction; tracking of customer surveys led us to introduce feather top beds and an extensive pillow menu for added comfort and microwaves in every suite.
We endeavor to offer guests a first-class experience. Our developers carefully select the location of every property for its breathtaking expanse of shoreline, beach and sea. And no expense is spared importing art, statuary, antiques, furniture and draperies that enhance each property’s theme. Beyond aesthetic beauty and spacious suites, guests enjoy incredible cuisine at a choice of fine restaurants, impeccable service, a wide variety of activities, spa and fitness facilities, and an endless amount of pampering.
And while treating our guests is our top priority, we also take care to promote sustainable tourism throughout Mexico. Our resorts in Cabos San Lucas and Mazatlán take steps to reduce the environmental impact of our hotel practices, and encourage respect for the natural surroundings. From protecting marine turtles in Los Cabos to our innovative recycling program, Pueblo Bonito preserves the natural identity of Mexico's beautiful destinations.
Recycling
Pueblo Bonito uses a solid waste program in six waterfront hotels and spas that recycles food, paper, plastic, glass, metals and hazardous chemicals. Organic waste is used to make compost fertilizer for our gardens. We are proud to say we send the least amount of trash to local dumps!
Global Warming
To combat global warming, we have implemented energy saving programs, solid waste management and recycling, a compost center, and guest/staff transportation to reduce our carbon footprint. By following Green Globe standards, we instill environmental awareness to our staff and guests, and reduce the effect of global warming.
Clean Up Campaigns
To help communities find balance between tourism and waste, Pueblo Bonito Resorts has clean up campaigns in Mazatlán, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Clean up campaigns are carried out in streets, parks, green areas, schools and hotels, as well as along beaches.
Fauna Protection
Protecting our natural environment and wildlife is a big part of our efforts. We have joined forces with programs such as the Marine Turtle Protection Program to protect the marine turtles, whales, pichichi ducks, brown pelicans, white tail doves and black iguanas in Los Cabos, Mazatlán and the Sea of Cortez.
Flora Protection
Part of our environmental responsibility is to rescue local plants. In Los Cabos, we protect endangered fishhook red barrel cactus and rescue Elephant Tree and Wild Plum "Ciruelo." Our hotels have small nurseries where plants are transplanted and reproduced. In Mazatlán, rescued plants are reforested in green areas, and our compost center produces organic fertilizer. Our botanical garden, Cactimindo, in San Jose del Cabo, conserves vital cacti of Mexico and the world's deserts ecosystems.
