Founded twenty-five years ago to celebrate the very best in travel across the globe, today, the World Travel Awards has cemented its reputation among industry experts as the guardian of the most coveted accolades in tourism, travel, and hospitality. Thisyear, the city of Mazatlán has been honored with a WTA recognizing it as the finest tourist destination in all of Mexico, Latin America, and Central America. Mazatlán will now go on to compete against other regional winners—from Las Vegas to Sydney—for the distinction of best tourist destination in the world.
