A Night of Elegance and Purpose: The Letty Coppel Foundation Black & White Gala
This November 28th, the heart of Los Cabos will beat with generosity, artistry, and purpose as the Letty Coppel Foundation hosts its annual Black & White Gala. The extraordinary evening will blend haute cuisine, heartfelt philanthropy, and dazzling entertainment. As we plan to welcome distinguished guests, community leaders, and major donors, we also invite you to join us at the for a night that will truly make a difference.
Set within the Hacienda del Mar Hotel, this year’s theme, “Four Stars Turning Fire into Hope,” brings together a Michelin-caliber dining experience led by four acclaimed chefs: César Pita, Javier Plascencia, Anaisa Guevara, and Carlos Gaytán. From inventive courses to perfectly paired wines, dinner will be an experience of culinary artistry, inspired by Mexico’s legendary culture and the Foundation’s deep commitment to uplifting families in need.
The night begins with an elegant welcome cocktail hour, followed by a seated dinner that pairs exquisite cuisine with live music by CaboStrings, the talented violin-and-cello duo known for their stirring performances that blend classical precision with contemporary emotion. As guests savor every note and every bite, the ballroom fills with the spirit of celebration and compassion.
Midway through the evening, anticipation builds for the charity auction, a cornerstone of the gala’s fundraising efforts. Guests will have the chance to bid on exclusive prizes such as luxury hotel stays, travel experiences, fine art, Quivira Golf Club certificates, beauty and wellness treatments, and high-end products. Each contribution directly supports the Foundation’s work to end poverty, improve education, and promote well-being throughout the region.
Once the final bid is placed, the mood transforms as the party begins. Bocca Morada, one of Los Cabos’ most energetic local bands, takes the stage. Known for their lively covers of international and Mexican hits that get every guest on their feet, they can entertain with anything from elegant waltzes to high-energy favorites.
The evening will be attended by Letty Coppel, Ernesto Coppel, their daughters, and special guest Vanessa Fukunaga, Owner and CEO of Engel & Völkers Snell Real Estate and Publisher of Ocean Blue World. The younger Letty Coppel and Vanessa Fukunaka will co-host the event. Together, they embody the spirit of giving back, a value that defines both their leadership and the Foundation’s mission.
Tickets cost $250 USD per person and proceeds from this year’s Black & White Gala will go toward the construction of the new Social Assistance Center by the Letty Coppel Foundation—a space dedicated to education, healthcare, and empowerment for the most vulnerable families in Los Cabos. More than just an elegant affair, it is a testament to the power of community and compassion.
