Cedric the Entertainer’s 10th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic: A Decade of Swinging for a Cause

From the glitzy lights of Hollywood to the pristine greens of Cabo San Lucas, Cedric the Entertainer pairs his signature good-time flair with philanthropy for a worthy cause once again. From August 20-21, a star-studded guest list descended upon Pueblo Bonito Pacífica Golf & Spa Resort and its breathtaking Quivira Golf Club to take part in the 10th Annual Cedric the Entertainer’s Celebrity Golf Classic.

Despite the unparalleled location, it’s the inspiring mission behind this popular annual event that brings so many together. The beneficiaries of this year's charitable donations were the Kyles Family Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo. Cedric’s storied career and firm belief in “Using Laughter To Build Character,” make this annual gathering transcend the game to take on a deeper message of hope, resilience, and the genuine desire to effect positive social change.

The Kyles Family Foundation empowers the youth in Los Angeles by providing them with basic necessities like educational support and hygiene-based assistance — because a sense of self-worth is the foundation for any kind of success. The Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo is built on a commitment to fostering young individuals, ensuring that every child, regardless of background, is properly equipped to pursue a bright future.

Set against the azure backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, the adult-only haven of Pueblo Bonito Pacifica created the perfect setting. Just a stone's throw from downtown Cabo San Lucas, the resort offers a serene luxe ambiance and access to all the exciting attractions Los Cabos has to offer in equal measure. Raising the bar even further, the Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed Quivira Golf Club offered exciting challenges for players along with the now-renowned natural views it commands.

Golf Classic guests were treated to two days of back-to-back events. A VIP Welcome Reception & Pairings Party kicked off the festivities, setting the stage for the exhilarating Celebrity-Amateur golf outing the next day. As the sun set on Quivira’s award-winning greens, attendees reconvened for a raucous awards reception with a bevy of delicious snacks, fun cocktails, and, of course, Cedric’s signature humor.
