Every Step Counts: The Letty Coppel Foundation Charity Walk and Run Returns to Los Cabos
At Pueblo Bonito Resorts, we believe true luxury extends far beyond ocean view suites and world class dining. It lives in the communities that welcome our guests each year, and in the people working to make life better for their neighbors. That spirit takes center stage this October, when the Letty Coppel Foundation hosts the fifth edition of its Charity Walk and Run for World Cerebral Palsy Day at Quivira Los Cabos, with Novaispania (next to Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach) serving as a proud host site.
The event is built around a simple, powerful idea: every step counts, and everyone belongs. On Sunday, October 4, beginning at 7:00 a.m., families, athletes, and supporters from across Los Cabos will gather for a morning that welcomes every ability and every pace. Participants can choose between a two-kilometer inclusive walk, designed so that everyone can take part together, or a five-kilometer open run for those looking to push a bit further.
What makes this event especially memorable is the spirit participants bring to the finish line. Runners and walkers are invited to come in costume or decorate their wheelchairs, turning the route into a vibrant display of color and creativity, with prizes awarded for the most inventive looks. It is a celebration as much as it is a race, one where enthusiasm and heart matter just as much as pace.
A runner kit is available for a 400 MXN donation (approximately $24 USD), which includes an official bib number, event shirt, and medal, a meaningful way for every participant to take home a piece of the day. In keeping with the Foundation's mission, children living with cerebral palsy are welcome to participate at no cost, while their family members are asked to register.
This event reflects the very heart of what the Letty Coppel Foundation has stood for since Letty Coppel founded it in 2004, guided by the belief that the good we do for our neighbors is what truly endures. In the two decades since, that vision has grown into mobile medical units serving thousands of families each year, a dedicated assistance center in Los Cabos, and a full calendar of events that keep these vital programs running. Every donation raised through the Charity Walk and Run goes directly toward the
Foundation's social programs benefiting children with disabilities.
If you are visiting Los Cabos this October, we invite you to be part of this special morning. Lace up for the five-kilometer run, gather the family for the two-kilometer walk, or simply come cheer from the sidelines. Reserve your stay at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach or any of our other Los Cabos resorts, and ask our concierge team how to register for the Charity Walk and Run during your visit.
To sign up directly, contact the Letty Coppel Foundation's Social Assistance Center in Los Cabos, or visit fundacionlettycoppel.com/en/. Every stay at Pueblo Bonito also contributes to this mission year-round through our Every Stay Gives Back partnership with Kind Traveler, helping support the Foundation's programs for families in our community. Come be a part of a morning where every step truly counts.
