After working several years for a Mazatlán hotel, Ernesto Coppel decided not only that his city deserved to be a world-class, five-star resort destination, but also that he was the man who would make that dream a reality. Coppel went on to open the first ever Pueblo Bonito hotel in 1987, and now, thirty years later, Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán is celebrating three decades of outstanding service and looking forward to even greater achievements ahead. Starting in early 2018, Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán will launch an $26.5 million renovation project to ensure our resort stays at the forefront of the international travel and hospitality industry. All aspects of the resort, including the lobby, guest rooms, restaurants, pools, and façade, will be updated and improved during this two-phase process. Phase one will focus on half the hotel and one restaurant, while phase two will address the remainder of the resort. Throughout the entire process, Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán will continue to welcome you, our valued guests, to enjoy the superior service you’ve come to expect from us. From Ernesto and everyone else here at Pueblo Bonito, thank you for making the last thirty years so fulfilling. We’re excited to celebrate many more together.
