At Pueblo Bonito, we understand the importance of promoting sustainable development in tourism and caring for the local environment. With our commitment to preserving our natural surroundings, we proudly offer our support to the Marine Turtle Protection program.
Through the help of the Letty Coppel Foundation, we have developed internal and external programs for Marine Turtle Protection. Since 2004, Pueblo Bonito has protected 41,092 eggs of Olive Ridleys, Laud and Green turtles, and have freed around 35,000 young turtles into the sea. Our dedication has been rewarded with the hope that some day the population of marine turtles in our seas will increase and these majestic animals may freely swim again.
Pueblo Bonito offers a number of informative activities about the importance of the preservation for these endangered species worldwide. We have also participated in different national and international events pertaining to marine turtle preservation in partnership many conservational organizations.
We are committed to taking steps that control and reduce the environmental impact of practices and processes, and always encourage the community to continue it's respect for our natural surroundings.
