The shores of Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlán promise visitors some of the most fertile fishing waters anywhere in the world. In Cabo,the months of September and October are especially known for the abundant roosterfish, snapper, grouper,anddorado.Sailfish,whitetuna, striped marlin, blue marlin, and black marlin arealsoplentifulfrom now well into December. Upcoming fishing tournaments include the Los Cabos Billfish Tournament (Oct 15-19), Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore (Oct 20-22), Bisbee’s Black and Blue (Oct 24-28), and the Los Cabos Tuna Jackpot (Nov 1-4). In Mazatlán you’ll find black marlin, blue marlin, sailfish, dorado, bonito, yellowfin tuna, red snapper, jack crevalle, and roosterfish biting from September through December, whereas striped marlin and Spanish mackerel will surge a little later, starting in November. To accompany that surge, seasoned fishermen from all across the world will descend on Mazatlán in November for the 17th Annual Billfish Classic Tournament.
